Extreme weather in Sweden during the winter months poses an issue for Trafikverket. Navtech's radar-based automatic incident detection is improving safety on the E4 motorway detecting incidents in adverse weather and poor visibility. Navtech has been supporting the operation of the Clearway system on this project for over 10 years.

Navtech’s highway safety system, ClearWay, has been selected as the automatic incident detection (AID) technology for a major highway corridor in Maryland. It was chosen due to its additional functionality over traditional technologies.

A significant infrastructure project in New Zealand, Te Aranui o Te Rangihaeata, opened in March 2022. With 75 radar, ClearWay is improving safety and efficiency across 27km of motorway. The system is providing both incident detection, such as stopped vehicle and wrong-way driving, as well as count and classify data.

On the busy Perth Freeway, ClearWay is improving traffic flow by detecting crashes and breakdowns, helping emergency crews clear the road quicker and get traffic moving again. Working as part of a wider system, it is reducing typical journey times by 10 minutes.
