Product of the Year and Design Team of the Year

We are pleased to announce that Navtech’s pioneering research and development team have been awarded Design Team of the Year by the British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEA). Nominated for their innovative work on developing the ClearWay™ system, the team were awarded for their significant contribution to engineering. Richard Poulton, the hardware team leader was also named as Design Engineer of the Year, a huge achievement given the high standard of engineering talent in the UK. Customer Focus

Over the last 3 months we have seen our net promoter score (NPS) increased to 80, a world class score, putting Navtech in the same league as Bose (78) Audio Technica (80) and Costco (79). NPS is a quality program that measures overall customer satisfaction and loyalty and can range in results from -100 (extremely poor) to +100 (world class). “We are very pleased with feedback from our NPS surveys” says Greg Thomlinson, Navtech’s Customer Service manager. “Our goal is to delight our customers.”

Navtech Academy Launched – Resources for Radar Solutions

Our mission is to increase the awareness and adoption of radar technology so we have recently launched the Navtech Academy in order to share with you our knowledge and experience from over 15 years implementing radar solutions. In many cases radar solutions provide unparalleled performance when compared with alternatives and it is comparatively recently that this excellent technology has become available at a commercial price point. M25 and M62 Stopped Vehicle Detection Trial a Success!

As a key part of Highways England’s smart motorways initiative to improve traffic flow without the need for building more roads, the ClearWay™ Stopped Vehicle Detection (SVD) system trial has successfully demonstrated the ability to detect stopped vehicles anywhere on the highway, giving their exact location, at any time of day and in all weather conditions. An independent analysis found the solution to have “exceeded expectations“, significantly improving safety and journey times on UK motorways. See more

Case Study – Tunnels in Norway

As a part of a large Norwegian tunnels refurbishment project in 2013, Navtech’s ClearWay™ solution was recommended by independent consultants as the best system for automatic incident detection (AID) abilities for two of its sites. Based on a number of performance requirements, a detailed market analysis found the ClearWay solution to be the most reliable system for tunnels applications, whilst also providing the greatest value for money. Launch of High Definition Radar

Friend or Foe Solution

The AdvanceGuard Friend or Foe solution eliminates any Nuisance alarms that are generated by authorised personnel and vehicles who are performing legitimate activities on your site. It identifies authorised personnel and vehicles with GPS trackers and combines their locations with your existing AdvanceGuard solution. The Witness software then automatically recognises the friendly personnel and therefore prevents alerts from being raised, dramatically reducing operator workload. See more.
