About the award
The Highways Awards are UK industry awards, judged by a panel of experts. The Major Project Award, is presented to the team responsible for the successful delivery of a major project with proven innovation, quantifiable impact and environmental consideration.
We’d like to thank the Smart Motorways Programme Alliance (SMP Alliance) for making the submission. About the project
The SVD retrofit programme is the largest deployment of radar-SVD technology worldwide. Delivered to an accelerated timescale, it covers 200+ miles of All Lane Running UK smart motorway, across 23 schemes. Navtech's radar technology is one part of National Highways SVD system; each part of the system must work together to achieve safer roads.
