Points the exact location of an incident within seconds of occurring
Pedestrians on roads have the potential to cause major incidents. Pedestrians make up around 25% of the deaths each year on roads, and many secondary incidents occur as a result of people present on busy roads. Failing to quickly detect pedestrian presence will result in higher death rates and more incidents.
ClearWay accurately identifies pedestrian intruders which pose a threat to vehicles or to themselves. With low false alarm rates and the utmost precision, ClearWay is the most reliable Automatic Incident Detection system available.
- Fog, snow and rain

How Pedestrian Detection Work?
To minimise the potential for loss of life, ClearWay can be used for pedestrian detection on highways, bridges or in tunnels. The rules-based system can be configured to detect and track pedestrians in areas where pedestrian access is prohibited. Following a detection of a pedestrian in an unauthorised zone, ClearWay will generate an alarm within 10 seconds, allowing for an fast response. Tracking data can be stored on a database for up to 30 days,. The data can be analysed for forensics and used to assist future prevention. A network of sensors can be installed to provide coverage of the entire road. Sensors scan 360°, providing multiple-lane coverage of both sides of the carriageway. The system can withstand harsh weather conditions, smoke and fog. It is the only automatic detection system that operates in all weather and light conditions, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, with no cleaning needed.
