Introducing the new Khalifa Port Case Study

AdvanceGuard delivers exceptional wide-area perimeter security at Khalifa Port, UAE

Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi – UAE, is a state-of-the-art, deep-water cargo handling facility, which serves over 25 shipping lines and offers direct links to 70 international destinations. With the ability to serve the largest ships at sea and the flexibility for future expansion, Khalifa Port needed tighter security measures around the perimeter both on land and over water, if they were to retain their status as a safe and secure flagship cargo handling facility.

Wide-area surveillance over land and water

The solution needed to accurately detect boats, vessels, vehicles and intruders, in all weather and light conditions, 24/7 and provide 360° perimeter protection. This requirement was critical, as Khalifa Port wanted reassurance that their operations, employees and their reputation were protected.

As soon as initial proof of concept (POC) benefits were realised, the radar-based technology was quickly implemented to cover the total perimeter protection.

The AdvanceGuard intelligent rules-based software continuously monitors inside and outside the port’s perimeter, automatically generating an alert when there is a breach in rules. Unlimited targets are displayed on the user-friendly interface, pinpointing their exact location. Its reliable detection is unaffected by adverse weather or light conditions.

Radar has long been recognised as the best sensor technology to deliver reliable performance in adverse environmental conditions. You can rely on our sensors, when you need them the most.

“Green TSI recommended AdvanceGuard, due to it being recognised as a highly reliable solution, that would perform exceptionally well, in a challenging environment. This solution has not only increased their perimeter security protection on land and water but has also ensured that they retained their credibility as a safe and secure cargo handling facility”.
