Navtech Radar to establish operations in the US

Navtech is looking to appoint a regional manager to drive its emerging US business and in-country support activities. It is a further sign of Navtech’s continued commitment to its US customers.

The company already offers in-country support for trials and installations. It now plans to establish a wider operation across more of the US, with additional business development managers alongside project delivery, customer support and marketing functions.

Excellence in project delivery

"We are so confident in our technology and our project delivery experience that after a site survey we guarantee the performance of our systems,” says Louise Early, Marketing and Commercial Director at Navtech.

Navtech has a successful operational model of providing in-country support to customers across its highways projects which have seen the radar technology company deploy and support over 4500 radars. Together these radars are enhancing safety on highways across a distance similar to that from Los Angeles to New York.

Louise Early is leading the recruitment for the growing US team: “We always want to fully understand our customers’ requirements and provide local project support. To establish our larger US team, we are holding interviews whilst we are at ITS World Congress.”

“With several roles to recruit for, we are open to hearing from US-based ITS professionals interested in working with us to deliver for our customers.”

Supporting US road authorities and concession operators

Navtech Inc. was established as a US corporation earlier this year to make it easier for US customers to work with the company, which has its headquarters in the UK.

In August 2020 Navtech introduced the KTS radar to its range making its highways road safety technology available to use in more regions of the world, including the US. The KTS-350 is FCC certified and is specially designed to operate in the Ka Band meeting local US frequency requirements

What’s different about Navtech’s ITS technology?

Navtech’s highways technology, ClearWay, detects when and where traditional technology isn't able to. It provides consistent operation in all conditions, as well as 360º, multi-lane highway coverage, and delivers multiple capabilities from a single radar.
