Bringing the airside security community together

Navtech Radar recently partnered with Dallmeier to host the Airside Security Review in Bangkok, an event specifically designed for the aviation security sector in the Asia-Pacific region. Industry participants gathered for a day of insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and live demonstrations, all focused on enhancing airside security.

Held at the InterContinental Bangkok, the event attracted attendees from regional airports, regulators and aviation authorities. Our goal was to provide real-world context to some of the sector’s biggest challenges — from perimeter breaches and false alarms to the growing need for integrated, advanced solutions.

Demonstrating the power of radar and video working together

At the heart of the event was the collaboration between Navtech’s high-resolution radar systems and Dallmeier’s video analytics and camera technologies. Together, we explored how combining these capabilities gives operators a single, real-time, reliable operational picture — improving situational awareness and enabling faster, informed responses.

Demonstrations illustrated how our radar-based solution detects and tracks incursions in all weather and lighting conditions, automatically cueing camera-based technology to verify alerts in real-time. We also shared insight into cost-effective design strategies, showing how airports can improve coverage while making use of existing infrastructure.

Looking ahead: integrated systems for resilient airside security

A key takeaway from the event was the growing need for integrated solutions, providing a unified and proactive approach to airside security. As airports expand and threats become more sophisticated, traditional measures are no longer enough. Building resilience requires multiple layers of detection and verification — all working seamlessly together to ensure continuous, reliable protection across the entire airside environment.
