Navtech Radar Celebrates 25 Years of Safety and Innovation

Navtech Radar is proud to celebrate 25 years of excellence. Founded in 1999 by Philip Avery and Dr. Stephen Clark, we have grown from our early roots in automation to becoming a trusted global provider of cutting-edge radar systems. Today, we have more than 5,000 sensors deployed across 50+ countries. 

Our journey began by revolutionising automation, playing a pivotal role in the world’s first fully automated port, where our radar systems ensured 24/7 operations in all weather conditions. This early success set the stage for our expansion into critical applications, including highways and security. Today, our solutions are found in over 95 security installations and over 90 highway projects worldwide, spanning Europe, Australia, and the US. 

In 2018, we joined forces with Halma PLC, accelerating our growth further. This partnership has allowed us to leverage Halma’s global resources and expertise in safety and environmental technologies. It marked a new chapter for us, enabling us to push the boundaries of innovation, including the introduction of our next-generation maintenance-free radar, which enhances safety with service-free technology. 

With strong drivers to improve safety, efficiency and automation in markets such as industrial automation and intelligent security, our future remains as bright as our celebrated past.
