RF Technician

The position - RF Technician

Navtech Radar is looking for a talented and methodical RF Technician/Junior Engineer to support in the R&D team. You will work with high frequency elements of the radar systems and your tasks will include unit rework, soldering, fault finding and testing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Radar fault finding to component level and testing support.
  • PCB level rework and assembly activities in support of the R&D team.
  • Support and drive RF type product issues, investigations and improvements.
  • Radio and EMC testing for compliance.
  • Contribute to continual improvement initiatives within the team.

  • Able to deliver high quality work under pressure.
  • Meticulous approach to detail and quality.
  • Able to communicate and work effectively with people at all levels within the business.
  • Self-starter and comfortable working without constant supervision.
  • Enthusiastic and capable of performing a hands-on role with an appetite to learn new skills.
  • Keen problem solver with a focus on detail.

Your competencies

  • The ideal candidate will have a background in electronics, RF design or RF production and test.

Salary will be £25,000 - £30,000. Other benefits include a generous profit share bonus scheme, pension contributions and holiday loyalty scheme.
