RF Engineer

The position - RF Engineer (in South Oxfordshire)

We are looking for a talented software developer, ideally with experience of working with embedded systems or integrated hardware. The RF Engineer will join an expanding R&D team within a dynamic, high-tech and forward-thinking organisation. The role will involve working with the rest of the software team to support the re-development of our commercial applications to ensure they run cross-platform and are fully integrated with our radar systems. The goal is to take our world class solutions to an unmatched level of sophistication, security and flexibility.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for RF design and verification in radar systems
  • Researching applicable RF/radar techniques to drive future product development
  • Antenna modelling and development
  • Drive improvements into radar system functional testing
  • Support RF type product issues and investigations
  • Radio and EMC testing and regulatory support for compliance
  • Regulatory standards support within the UK, Europe and worldwide
  • Adhere to company and department processes
  • Contribute to continual improvement initiatives within the team

You must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with people at all levels within the business.  This is a demanding, yet exciting role in a growing business, in which you can make a very large impact. The role also offers a good scope for personal growth and development.

You must have appropriate technical qualifications, ideally degree level or equivalent experience in Electronics or RF design.  Background in CST simulation and radar systems is highly valued.

Our work headquarters

Navtech Radar is based in the picturesque village of Ardington just outside Wantage, Oxfordshire. The office is very close to Didcot which has excellent train links to London. The location is easily commutable from Oxford, Swindon and Newbury.

The office is a modern farm conversion and offers excellent facilities in a beautiful environment with plenty of space, including ample free parking.
