THE POSITION – Project Engineer
Navtech Radar is looking for a talented and experienced Project Engineer to join the team to support and manage project implementation and product development.
In this role you will be working with partner system integrators to deliver our systems worldwide. This is a demanding and rewarding role requiring good technical and customer facing skills. You will need both hands-on practical site-based aptitude as well as IT/technical skills as our solution comprises both hardware and software.

OUR WORK HEADQUARTERS
Our offices are nestled in the picturesque village of Ardington, South Oxfordshire, within an easy commute from areas of Reading, Swindon, Newbury, and Oxford.
The role will be based at our offices in Ardington, but you should expect travel both UK and international to support system deployment and testing on site.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Planning, delivering, and reporting of on-site activities. This includes system commissioning, configuration and testing to meet customer requirements.
- Working with our partners worldwide to deliver our solutions
- Coordinating problem resolution with engineering, software, and customer support
- Monitoring systems performance - diagnosing and remedying issues where possible
- Conducting customer training on the operation of our systems.
- Contributing to product development by helping with field testing of new products
- Assisting the sales team in performing customer demonstrations and site surveys.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), good working knowledge of IT Hardware, Software Architecture (Windows, Linux e.g., COMP TI A+), Networking (e.g., N+, CCNA), comfortable with command line utilities, desirable to have PowerShell or scripting knowledge.
- Analytical thinking with strong focus on problem solving
- You will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, with effective communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with the customer in a high-pressure environment
- Good technical and oral presentation skills.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years' experience in a technical role, either support, project based or R&D
- Preferably educated to HNC level or higher in a relevant discipline.
EESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Willing to travel and spend short periods away from home both in UK and worldwide
- Willing to work occasional nights
- Valid British Or EU Passport
- Valid Driver’s Licence

This role will require the successful candidate to undertake a pre-employment background screening check (either Basic DBS or BPSS).

Salary will be competitive based on this type of role within the Thames Valley.
