The position - Logistics and Shipping Manager - (in South Oxfordshire)
Navtech Radar is looking for a Logistics and Shipping Manager to join the Production team and support the company through ongoing growth.
This role will be responsible for all inbound and outbound shipping for suppliers and customers. You will facilitate import and export requirements, checking that all relevant documentation is compliant to ensure smooth transit of any goods into and out of the company. You will deliver excellent service levels to ensure on time delivery to customers.

Our offices are nestled in a wonderfully tranquil AONB location, at the edge of Ardington in South Oxfordshire.
Our production facility is located in a new building on the recently developed Grove Business Park, within an easy commute from areas of Reading, Swindon, Newbury and Oxford.

As our Logistics Manager you will Coordinate and execute all activities related to inbound and outbound shipping for suppliers and customers.
You will be responsible for handling all import and export processes form start to finish and proactively ensure that items are delivered on time - this will involve monitoring transportation, solving any issues that arise, liaising with internal and external customers as necessary and dealing with carriers and suppliers both domestic and overseas.
You will manage customs clearance processes, keeping accurate records and liaising with customs agents as necessary to avoid delays in shipments and unnecessary costs.
You will negotiate rates with shipping suppliers and maintain all shipping records and requests – providing this information to the wider team where necessary.
As our shipping manager you will be:
- Familiar with shipping documentation and customs clearance processes, and be aware of changing legislation and process in light of Brexit
- Very well organised
- Attentive to detail
- Able to keep accurate records to ensure compliance
- Confident in reporting to and liaising with external customers and suppliers as well as internal stake holders
- Able to deliver excellent customer service even under pressure
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a role coordinating international shipments
- Experience with temporary import process for repairs and warranty returns
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Track record of delivering on time to customers
