All Weather and Light Conditions

Complex sites which require full situational awareness may often be subject to the elements. Sites may be based in areas which suffer from extreme hot or cold temperatures, or smoke and fire may be common occurrence. If a security system is not able to operate in these adverse conditions, then site operation will be interrupted and

Navtech Radar's AdvanceGuard is unaffected by environmental conditions such as rain, snow, fog, sand and dust storms. This allows it to maintain it's full situational awareness, meaning operators and site users can have complete trust in the system. AdvanceGuard operates in all light conditions including complete darkness, meaning it is effective 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How Does it Work?

Despite weather conditions, AdvanceGuard maintains its full situational awareness. Even in thick fog or smoke, the system can still detect and track an intruder inside or outside of the perimeter

If the complex site is placed in an area such as a desert, the system still remains fully functional in the extreme heat. This also applies to applications in areas which have snowy and below freezing climates.

Why Choose AdvanceGuard for all Weather Detection?

AdvanceGuard can pin point the exact location of intruders, even through thick fog or at applications such as power stations where high levels of smoke may be present.

  • Reliable detection

High-resolution radar differentiates target size and categorises according to specific site settings. It can still identify target size and type and poor lighting conditions or complete darkness.

  • Fully automated operation

The system is fully automated, and settings do not need to be changed depending on weather and light conditions. The system will track and monitor any potential threats automatically, allowing for a quicker response time and minimal disruption.

  • Low false alarm rates

Even in adverse weather conditions, AdvanceGuard's intelligent threat analysis will still only detect true threats, meaning nuisance alarms are eliminated.
